This degree program is typically delivered over 3 to 5 years of full time study.

Databases Modules Include:

COMP 3380 and COMP 4380; and one of COMP 4710 or COMP 4740.

Software Engineering Modules Include:

COMP 3010, COMP 3020, COMP 3040, COMP 3380, COMP 4050, COMP 4350 and COMP 4620.

Computer Systems Modules Include:

COMP 3010, COMP 3290, COMP 4430, COMP 4550, COMP 4510, and COMP 4690.

Web Based Systems Modules Include:

COMP 3010, COMP 3020, COMP 3380, COMP 4350 and COMP 4580.

Human-Computer Interaction and Computer Graphics Modules Include:

COMP 3020, COMP 3490, COMP 4020 and COMP 4490.

Artificial Intelligence Modules Include:

COMP 3190, COMP 4180, COMP 4190, COMP 4200, and COMP 4360.

Networks and Security Modules Include:

COMP 4140, COMP 4300, and COMP 4580.

Theoretical and Computer Science Modules Include:

COMP 3170, COMP 3030, COMP 4420, COMP 4340, COMP 4140, and COMP 4510.

Learning And Teaching

University of Manitoba relies in many standard teaching methods, including formal lectures, interactive tutorials and skills sessions and seminar style classes. It is also a major research university, and you will have plenty of opportunities to participate in that research tradition first hand, either through senior year research projects or USRA Research Awards. The Computer Science program also allows you to specialise in one or more of 7 highly sought-after skillsets.

Entry & Credit

Successful completion will result in a 3-5 year BSc degree.

Applicants must typically have completed a university preparatory program at a senior secondary school, or the international equivalent. They should not have completed more than 24 hours of post-secondary education.

All classes are taught in English unless otherwise noted, and international students will be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
