Course Summary

A Post-Baccalaureate Diploma in Marketing and Data Analytics from Okanagan College could be the perfect way for you to prepare for a successful, fast-track career in 2 of the world’s fastest growing specialties – Data Analytics and Marketing. It is designed to add this level of specialisation to any standard baccalaureate level science or business degree, and is appropriate for new graduates with little or no working experience.

The Marketing content will of course have direct commercial applications, and can improve your employability dramatically in that field. When combined with the deep understanding of the data analytics process, though, the marketing context can make you a huge asset to any company.

The Data Analytics content will of course be relevant in a business context, but also includes a great deal of ‘pure’ data science content. The mathematics, statistics and data analysis skills you learn will be just as useful to the academic researcher as to the business researcher.

If you are changing direction after starting in another career area, you will possess valuable work experience and professional awareness. Many employers actively seek candidates with these benefits. Our network of contacts, a dedicated employability service and a reputation in the legal profession mean we also have an outstanding track-record of finding students legal employment. Many employers favour GDL students in an increasingly competitive legal job market. Through studying another degree subject, you will have gained many transferable skills. By taking the conversion route into law, you are showing motivation and determination by choosing law at a later stage than some others. This looks good to employers.
