Course Summary

OSU’s BSc in Computer Science and Engineering is delivered by the College of Arts and Science and the College of Engineering. It has a strong focus on software engineering and application development. You’ll learn to produce and improve software tools to solve the practical problems of business and industry, and of individual consumers. 

As you learn, you’ll explore topics like networking, information security, artificial intelligence, database systems, systems analysis, software engineering, operating systems, computer graphics, systems architecture, programming languages, data structures and algorithms. You can also specialise by adding elective modules of all kinds. 

Other similar majors include the BSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering and the BSc in Computer and Information Science.

Learning And Teaching

Entry & Credit

Successful completion will result in a 4 year BSc degree.

To enter any of OSU’s undergraduate programs, you’ll need to have a secondary education – a US High School Diploma or the international equivalent – with good ACT or SAT scores. Acceptance is competitive.

All classes are taught in English, and international students from non-English speaking countries may be required to show proficiency in English by scoring well on an approved test.
